Hiya!
- Alexa Mintah
- Alexandria, better known as Alex or Alexa, is a strange Christian-fangirl-YA-writer medley tucked away in an undisclosed location in Virginia. She loves creating worlds out of keystrokes, discovering adorable ships (platonic or romantic), and becoming besties with clever characters who wow her with love and brilliance. When only half spellbound by her many worlds of words, she can be found working amongst the stacks in her local library.

WHY DO MOVIES WITH HAPPY ENDINGS STILL MAKE ME CRY DX
ReplyDeleteI knew coming into this that I was going to leave with my heart in two pieces, and yet here I am. -sigh-. SPIRIT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY SO HARD. I love it so much but it's soo saad. And this song just made me remember that. -cries for hours- UGHH the music breaks my feels. Dx
And GASP-- now that I think about it, this song is kind of perfect for a couple characters in my story. Involving magic and siblings and discovering one's origin. :D
YES. It's a glorious movie, but there are definitely heart-wrenching moments *not sure whether to put a smile emoji or a sad one here...*
DeleteAwesome! I love magic and siblings and origin discovery, lol. Seriously though, that sounds great, especially if it can be matched with this song. :D
I LOVE THIS SONG. Actually, when I was younger, I decided I would watch Spirit every day for an entire summer, and I made it about two weeks in before scheduling conflicts ruined that goal. But I think I would have done it, if I had the time. I listen to the soundtrack so much--it's really great for writing to, and singing along, and everything. It's one of my top favorite soundtracks (I think my other favorite would be the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack, the one by the original London cast--not the new one).
ReplyDeleteHmm, as for the main character in my work in progress, she's lost her home and she's not sure she belongs anywhere. Actually, she spends most of the book trying to piece together the remainder of her family even though she has no clue where to go. So this song is great for that. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for commenting on Out of Coffee, Out of Mind!
That is a worthy goal. If I didn't already know scheduling conflicts would ruin it for me, I would totally try that, lol
DeleteYES, I KNOW. I use it for writing and chilling and basically everything too!
Cool, I haven't heard that, but I just checked out some of it. The orchestra's really nice! :D
Wow, that sounds difficult (but awesome to read about). Glad it worked for your character! :D And you're totally welcome!
The Spirit movie has a really good soundtrack. I think my favorite song is "You Can't Take Me."
ReplyDeleteYES! I love that song! :D
DeleteLoved his "whisky voice" sound and the lyrics. Glad you shared it today.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it! :D I love the lyrics so much too! <3
DeleteAw, this is such a cool song! :') I've never watched "Spirit," but I *might* have heard of it before (I just Googled it, and it looks vaguely familiar)! Thanks for sharing this! :')
ReplyDeleteI used to adore the Hannah Montana movie soundtrack, and I also liked The Lion King soundtrack too. XD Other than that, I don't listen to that many soundtracks! Would this be your favourite soundtrack? :D
No problem! Oh, you should totally watch it; it's a great movie and there are so many more gorgeous songs! <3
DeleteThose are both great too! I used to listen to Hannah Montana ALL THE TIME, lol.
Hmm, I don't know if it's my favorite (I also love the Hobbit, and Thor: The Dark World, and Narnia soundtracks... you get the picture. :p) But it's definitely one of them. :D
No problem! Glad you liked it! :D
ReplyDeleteHehe, yeah, I can see how that would be difficult! But it really is a great movie, and if your youngest sister can handle emotional moments, it still might be a good choice. :)
