Hiya!
- Alexa Mintah
- Alexandria, better known as Alex or Alexa, is a strange Christian-fangirl-YA-writer medley tucked away in an undisclosed location in Virginia. She loves creating worlds out of keystrokes, discovering adorable ships (platonic or romantic), and becoming besties with clever characters who wow her with love and brilliance. When only half spellbound by her many worlds of words, she can be found working amongst the stacks in her local library.

That's a cute song. ;-) I don't often write mothers! I KNOW. It's a huge failing. I've written a few grandmothers-who-stand-in-the-place-of-mothers, though, so that's something. xD
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
*glowers at you for not writing mothers* Just kidding! And the grandmothers-as-stand-ins definitely works!
DeleteYou're welcome :)
Anthem Lights is great! My best friend introduced them to me a few weeks ago, they're really fun.
ReplyDeleteI really like Carrie Underwood's songs Mama's Song and Don't Forget To Remember Me. The second one is less strictly just for Mom, but it's got the basic idea and still makes me want to tear up a little. (I'm really a huge crybaby when it comes to emotional music/movies/TV/books. I didn't used to be. xP)
In my current story I'm working on, there aren't really any mothers... well, there's at least one, but only briefly. Another story I'm sure I'll finish someday is actually about a girl and her mother. It's a fantasy, but the relationship between the main character and her mother is a huge aspect.
YES THEY ARE SO WONDERFUL!
DeleteHaven't heard those before, but I'll have to check them out. Especially if they're nice and emotional. Don't we writers just love those things?
That fantasy story sounds really cool! I love it when there's all this epicness and stuff going on, but the author still takes time to focus on the charries' relationships as well. Unless they're about to die. In that case, we fight enemies now, talk later, lol
A Song for Mama is a classic. I love the Boys II Men version, but this one was good too. :) This is a new band to me, and I love finding new bands! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it! And I love introducing people to new music, so I guess it all worked out, haha :D Thanks for stopping by!
