Melodic Mondays: 1-Hour Epic Music: Epic Score Vol. 1

I adore this playlist. Whenever I have something epic to write, this is my music:

Even when the scene isn’t epic exactly, this score just has the perfect “Let’s do this!” sound, and that encourages me  makes me really want to write  if nothing else.

I don’t recall how I found it exactly. I know it was around NaNo last year, when I was searching desperately for inspiring music to pull me through that insane word sprint. I think the Epic Score was in the suggested videos on my YouTube homepage, though I’m not positiveIt doesn’t matter, really. However it happened, I’m glad it did.

I was listening to it yesterday while going over a chapter in my Dystopian story, The Supernatural Projects (Yes, the same one I talked about the last two Mondays. What can I say? I rather adore that story). Anyways, the music didn’t inspire anything specific; it was just nice to have it going in the background, like the perfect soundtrack to the scene.

So yeah, it’s a really great score. Good for just about any fantasy or sci-fi project, especially if you’re writing something fast-paced or action-packed.

And, because I love talking about my characters, here’s a picture I found on Pinterest and it’s almost perfect for them.

Leiah and Jesse  except his hair is longer and hers is curlier.
