Out My Plane Window

Heyo peoples! ‘Tis me, back from Miami! Well, technically, I’ve been back for about a week now, but I’m telling you, I literally feel like I just got back yesterday. I don’t know what it is, but YoungArts (or maybe just every fantastic, fulfilling trip like that?) has some kind of Other Dimension effect that makes me feel like I have to readjust to normal time when I get back. I feel like the past week that I’ve been home almost didn’t exist, and my mind is consistently rebelling against the idea that actually, yes, YoungArts ended an entire week ago.

Actually, my brain right now.
All that to say, I’m not really sure what happened in my life this past week—besides work and exhaustion—and I don’t really know why I didn’t post.

BUT. This week, I feel like I’m finally beginning to adjust to normal time, so—if everything goes to plan—I’ll hopefully return to regular posting: I wanna tell you guys about my YoungArts trip and (eventually) share the 4 or so tags I have backed up. Don’t know if allthat’s going to happen this week, but fingers crossed for at least one of them. ;)

To actually refer to the reason for thispost, I had to take a plane to get to Miami, and it was actually my first plane trip ever. So yes. Little bit of stress (aw, who am I kidding? HECK OF A LOT of stress. That anxiety was about half of what I was talking about in my Just Be Held post), but once I finally made it past security (which does not like me) and on to the actual plane, it was fantastic. The experience of the actual flight left my sense of wonder going absolutely crazy trying to comprehend the fact that omg, I am freaking flying in the freaking sky, and those are clouds floating like flat, fluffy marshmallows below me, and sweet summer snow, that sunset though.

Unfortunately, I’m not a professional photographer and I was using my iPhone, so these photos don’t nearlycapture the awesomeness of God’s creation that I was able to witness from my plane window. However, they are at least a hint of what I saw, and I still wanted to share them with you all. :)

Well, that’s it for today! Tell me, have you ever been on a plane before? If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? What’s one particular part of nature that reminds you of the awesomeness of God?

Until the next post!

  3. Oh my goodness, Alexa! You are so brave! How you got right on that airplane, and conquered security!! ;) <3 The view looks AMAZING . . . oh wow, so beautiful! How long was the flight?

I have been on a plane before, but not since I was a little kid, so, I'm not sure if I would be nervous now (when you're a kid you sort of don't think about these things, at least, I didn't XD ) if I went on a plane now . . . ? X'D Anyway, eesh, how amazing is the view, though?! I just. jdkald. The complexity of God's creation always astounds me. How there are hundreds of species of deep sea sharks that we only know ten of and how the teeniest of ants crawl the ground; we don't even see half of it! It just amazes me so much! How much more out there has God set in place for us to discover?! :')

Oh, and if you could go anywhere, where would YOU go? :D

    1. Thank you so much!! <3 And yes, it was gorgeous! Only about two hours, so not a bad length for my first flight. :)

IKR?! Everytime I stop and think about it, He just blows my mind <3 :D

I actually don't know! I'd love to visit basically everywhere, but I think I'd most like to see Europe, certain Native American reservations, and Ghana (the first one because IT'S EUROPE. And the last two, because my parents have heritage from both places, and I've love to know more about those parts of my culture).

  5. I hope you had an wonderfully amazing time!!

Yes, I've been on several flights. But not for like SIX years, so they almost don't count. (Okay, I sort of feel dishonest when I say 'several' ;) ....it probably was more like 2 or three. I really can't remember.)

Gosh, I want to go on another plane flight. Flying ABOVE THE CLOUDS IS SO AWWWWEEEESOMMMME.

p.s. I could really use some prayers. My parents divorce court date is coming up (well, the first court date, anyway) soon, and I'm really freaking out inwardly.

  6. Ah, cool! I don't mind flying very much, but I don't really like taking off or landing. XD Still, it's awesome that you got to go out and see new things and enjoy them all so much. :) Welcome home!
