Melodic Mondays: Angel With A Shotgun by The Cab

This one’s for a character in my novel, What’s Real. I’ve mentioned this story before, when I posted Kat’s song, but today I’m talking about her boyfriend, Kemp. He’s another one of the mains, the weapon specialist on a spy team, and this song describes him pretty well. I even found an acoustic version, which is perfect because he plays piano. Kemp likes to think that if he hadn’t become a weapon specialist, he’d be the next Mozart. And Kat happens to agree.

Plus, this song talks about someone the singer loves, someone he’s fighting for, and that part, to me, represents their relationship. So yeah, it’s pretty much perfect for Kemp and Kat. They’re very different characters with very different journeys. Yet, I ship them. Hard.
