I actually finished my time in this world last week, but since it was a really good book, I decided to post my review here as well.

Elyon is the last in The Lost Books series, so I’m not going to give a description (spoilers!). But I will say that all of them are amazing and totally worth the read.

On to the official review: 4 1/2 stars out of 5. This book was beautiful, inspiring, and the action kept me on the edge of my seat, desperate to know what would become of Darsal and the gang. Marak especially was a really cool character, and I loved the romantic pairings.

Occasionally though, the characters would do things that didn't really make sense, and that kind of bothered me. I tend to get annoyed if a character does something that seems... silly. Not to say that they shouldn’t make mistakes, because we all do and if characters were perfect, we’d hate them. What annoys me is when something seems perfectly obvious, like the character should’ve known better or even did know better, and yet he or she goes and does the wrong thing anyway. This happened a couple of times in this series, which is why I gave the book 4 1/2 stars instead of 5.

Still, it was a pretty great read overall, and I’d definitely recommend the series.

Have you read it? If not, what’s currently on your reading list?

  1. Yup! I've even reread it a few times. That's one of my favorite series, and what got me started writing fantasy.
